This is a tom who is still young and has a long way to go in finding out who he is, but there are some things that will likely hardly change. The biggest piece that is likely to be steadfast is the fact that where others feel emotions deep down in their core, Privetpaw has had a hard time feeling these things. When others speak of joy, he understands it only as something that makes the mouth tilt slightly in a smile. When others speak of rage, he understands it only as something that causes the tail to lash or the eyes to burn. When others speak of fear, he understands it only as something that causes the fur along one's spine to raise in awareness. He understands that the body does things in response to certain stimuli, but he just doesn't feel those stimuli in the same manner. His body reacts to things he does not feel or comprehend and in reality, it confuses him.[break][break]
This inability to feel things he should feel can leave him a bit cold around the edges. However, it does not stop him from attempting to connect with others. He converses with others, attempts to smile, and is friendly with others if for no other reason than this is how he has observed others behave and has believed it to be the right way to go about things. That's the bottom line of it too - because he can't think with these feelings, he needs to be made to understand things logically. Why should he do this or do that, he needs a rational reason for it otherwise he'll think it's just busy work. When it comes to loyalty, he does not get bogged down with the traditional, "You should be loyal to the family because you love them" or, "You should be loyal to your Clan because that's where you were born and that should matter". Rather, he thinks of what he is currently loyal to in terms of, "Well, I live in Shadowclan right now so it would be a good idea for me to fight for them because otherwise, I'll have no place to live." Due to this, his "loyalty" (if that's what one would call it), definitely can shift based on what is most beneficial to him at the moment.

Born to two warriors named Wrenwhisper and Firecall, Privetkit was one kit in a litter of three. Life as a kit was a tad more confusing to him than it likely should have been. At first, he often watched the others rather than joining in, but with time he was prompted by others to get in the thick of things and play-fight with other kits or at least chat with them and get to know them. But why? he would ask fairly routinely and where most adults thought of his questions as routine kit behavior, he was simply attempting to understand how others thought and he was especially concerned with the reasoning behind the things others thought he should be doing.[break][break]
He would eventually get into the habit of chatting with the other kits, convinced that it was good to learn to communicate with those that he would be sharing his life with. He play-fought with the other kits, but he had a tendency to get a bit rougher than was expected. "Why does it matter whether I hurt others or not?" was a question he asked once when he was met with a chastising tone from an adult and when they couldn't really give him an answer better than "Because it's wrong" he was satisfied that there was no real reason, though he attempted to keep things under control a bit. It wouldn't do him any good if others thought that he would become a problem, he reasoned.[break][break]
He had great difficulty understanding his sister, Brightkit. Where he lacked feelings and the understanding that came from those feelings, she seemed to have enough connection to her own and others for the both of them. Where she sometimes sought their father's gaze, he shrugged the thought off, unsure why he should care about how anyone thought of him. And sure enough, just a moon prior to him becoming an apprentice, his old man is thrown out of the camp while his actions and behavior towards his mother are exposed. While much of the Clan was outraged by the tom's actions, Privetpaw sat there silent and composed, confused by the way everyone acted.[break][break]
Life is still a malleable thing for him. He has just started his training to be a warrior, but there is much that could be done. Time will tell what kind of warrior he will become. He became Privetpaw alongside his littermates.
