Have you ever had a friend that you believe is too pretty to be hanging around you, but for some reason, they still find reasons to hang out with you? That's this girl.[break][break]
Tunashade is a pretty she-cat by some definitions and especially by her own definition. She has always taken great pride in the way she looks, keeping her fur in place and doing all she can to ensure the gloss never leaves her fur for long. When she does cross someone though who'd be the one brave enough to mention it, she'd just shrug it off and call it their mistake, their loss. Some might say that her confidence boosts her appearance as there are very few situations where she does not believe that she could do something. It is strong to the point where she has never taken criticism well. She may not care that someone else doesn't think that she's pretty, but if they try to tell her how she could be prettier, then they might see the sharp side of her tongue. This tendency together does tend to make her more on the self-absorbed side as she often thinks that she knows best what needs to be done, even though she is still young and still has much, much more growing to do. She can learn (she was an apprentice once, after all), but it takes a feline more willing to be "submissive" in nature to realize that the best way she learns is paws on. She almost needs to be fed information like she came up with it on her own rather than be told what she was doing was wrong.[break][break]
But that friend, while they refuse to leave your side, doesn't really seem that horrible once you get to know them, do they? Like, you might expect them to be rude and controlling, but they actually have quite the heart.[break][break]
You don't even need to dig that deep with Tunashade to see the kindness that she holds. She would never purposely hurt others in any lasting way and she would actually feel bad physically hurting anyone. She is more on the talkative side, willing to make friends with anyone and even more than eager to chat with those outside the Clan - as long as they aren't making any moves against RiverClan's borders, members, or prey! She is willing to listen to others and their problems, though she might need a jab every now and again to realize someone needs to chat. But once you have her attention, you will have her attention. She will not run away from you or your conversation until everything is said and out in the open.[break][break]
While your friend is kind, you know their family - a large one and they are at the bottom of it. They are one of the youngest. And they like to be a little brat, don't they?[break][break]
Tunashade grew up with a lot of siblings - most of whom were older than her. She had three littermates, though that has shrunk down to simply two. Her family has been enveloped with love from their parents, but having so many siblings in the Clan could make it hard on some of them...and she definitely is not helping those that find it hard to live in the large group. She is nosy, curious, and often annoying - the stereotypical younger sister. She has always had a knack for being where others do not expect her and hearing what she shouldn't. These things she sees and hears that others may not want her to spill, well, she tends to keep them a secret...most of the time. Especially if the person affected by her knowing promises to help her out. Some might call it dirt, she calls it reassurance. Though if it really came down to it, she would never spill a secret that would do long-lasting damage to someone - especially a family member...at least, she doesn't think she would.[break][break]
Family or Clan, which would she have stronger loyalties to? That's still something she may need time to figure out.

Two felines truly in love and ready to help the Clan grow over many, many moons. She was lucky, really. Born in litter number seven, the last one, Tunashade and her two littermates would always have plenty of love from those older than them. From the day she was born, not only did her mother take care of her, but so did her father and plenty of her older siblings and she would kinda take it for granted without fully realizing it - that not all felines had as happy a beginning as she had. As soon as her eyes had opened, revealing green orbs that match her mother's, she looked around her with unbridled curiosity. She often went up to her older siblings and watched them and even asked questions every now and again. She never liked being away from a family member for long and got easily bored when there was no one around to talk to. Thankfully she had her littermates at the very least.[break][break]
She was five moons of age when Thornstar announced that felines were not allowed to go outside the camp after sightings of rogues, the disappearance of their Clan-mates, and finding some bodies of others. Tunakit was still young and didn't quite understand the impacts of what was happening, but she knew better than to even think about sneaking out of camp - it was against the rules anyway for kits to leave and she had no reason to - yet. She usually had someone in the camp to stalk or play with and for the most part, that was fine by her. As the moon approached its end, their mother decided it was time for the youngest litter to finally take the next step.[break][break]
Tunapaw was assigned a mentor and with her littermates beside her, they started a new journey. One of the first things that her mentor noticed as they began her training was that she did have a natural skill with keeping her pawsteps light, making not only hunting easier but tracking in general. She might not have a dark pelt to help her blend into some surroundings, but there was just something about the way she moved and the fact that she had a natural mindset to keep in mind the things that came with stealth. She naturally tended to stay downwind of others and knew when to keep those movements and her voice low. Almost from the start, she was able to sneak up on her mentor without them noticing. However, it also became apparent that fighting outright was not one of her strengths. Her mentor focused on her strengths, making sure that her hunting and tracking were top-notch, and just made sure she could fight enough to protect herself and help others, but they knew that the best situation for her was catching an opponent off-guard.[break][break]
While Tunapaw never really enjoyed fighting like other apprentices might have. Rather, she always enjoyed hunting and stalking in general. She had started to realize that she may be more of the reconnaissance type of feline, attempting to gather information without being seen. She even started to use some of the tricks she learned and the skills she honed on some of her older siblings, following them around and seeing what they were up to without letting them notice. There was a time or two where she may have stumbled upon something juicy, but she kept it to herself...for the time being. This was not always the easiest thing to achieve, considering the issue with the rogues and the mandate that felines were not allowed to leave without a group. But, at least she could use the excuse that as long as the sibling she followed was in a group, she was fine because she was technically with them as well.[break][break]
Then there was the day when Troutpaw was found, dead. Her brother was killed by the rogues, a threat she knew had taken other lives including one of her older siblings, but it was still a threat she hadn't fully comprehended until she saw her littermate's body returned to camp. Frustrated and angry, Tunapaw had a hard time understanding why he had been killed when he was so young. After the mourning period and after his body was taken out to be buried, she found herself sneaking out of the camp. She didn't understand completely what was compelling her forward, but she found herself attempting to pick up the scent of anything that wasn't RiverClan. She found herself hoping, wanting to find the culprit that had killed her brother. She never did pick up any clues and she was lucky not to have run into an enemy when she was by herself. Eventually, her other littermate found her and convinced her to come back, saying she was going against orders being by herself out here and that she wasn't the strongest fighter anyway, so what was she going to do if she found anyone? Frustrated, Tunapaw agreed and went back to the camp with her sibling.[break][break]
Around twelve moons she and her littermate passed their assessment and would be named warriors. She became Tunashade, given her suffix for her strength in stealth. She was proud of herself and of her sibling, but she still wished Troutpaw could've been there with her. Over the moons, her vain side started to crop up slowly as she started to notice that there were felines that were intrigued by her, though she didn't find her interested in being returned to them quite yet. The first few moons of her warrior life were fairly simple and the same old same old since the rogues had come into their territory when she was young. There was worry throughout the camp and hurt as felines were kidnapped or killed and there was always the question of who would be next.[break][break]
But she doubted anyone would expect the rogues to be bold enough to attack the RiverClan camp directly. Two moons ago started these big moments as they attacked, where Thornstar was killed in the attack, but they were able to come out as the victors. Tunashade did what she could, attacking and fighting with the others in her Clan in order to protect what was theirs. They won, thankfully, and were able to get back everyone who was taken that hadn't been lost to StarClan yet. But over the next moon, the Clan lost their medicine cat and appointed a new, inexperienced one to the spot. Things might not be stable, but Tunashade would do what she could to help.
